I’m a software developer in Sydney, and I fix apps built with AI tools like Lovable, Replit and Bolt. I start by checking the app for security and data problems, then rebuild it properly, using your prototype as the specification.

Who I am

I’m Eddie. I’ve been a software developer for over 20 years, and I run heyedd softwares from Sydney. I build websites, web apps and phone apps for Australian businesses, and I run my own apps in production.

What I check first

I start by reading the code and running the app. Then I write down what’s missing, in order of risk:

• Can one user see or change another user’s data?
• Are secret keys sitting in the browser code or in the repository?
• Where is the data stored, and is it backed up?
• What happens when two people use it at the same time?
• Do sign-up and password reset emails actually arrive?
• Will you know when something fails?

We go through that list together and decide what to fix first.

What happens to your prototype

I usually rebuild the app in a cleaner, more modular shape, often in React, so new features stop breaking old ones.

Your prototype isn’t wasted. It’s an exact specification of what the app needs to do and look like. Getting that right is usually about a third of the effort, and you’ve already done it.
