You can move your website off Wix, Squarespace or WordPress without losing its pages or its place on Google. I rebuild it as a fast site with no plugins to keep updating and far less for anyone to hack. Every page keeps its address or redirects to the new one, and you get a CMS so you can still change the words and photos yourself.

The problem

  • On Wix or Squarespace, you pay a monthly plan for as long as the site is up, and the site only exists inside their builder.
  • On WordPress, the plugins need updating all the time, and a site that falls behind gets hacked.
  • Sites built from page builders and many plugins can load slowly, on phones especially.
  • You’re afraid to change anything, so the site goes stale.

WordPress: constant plugin updates, and hacking

A WordPress site is built from plugins, and every plugin needs updating each time a security hole is found in it. Those holes are found all the time. Patchstack, a WordPress security company, counted 11,334 new ones in 2025, and 91% of them were in plugins. About half of the serious ones were being used to attack sites within a day of becoming public. See their 2026 report.

A hacked WordPress site can send your visitors to scam pages or fill up with spam pages, and Google can mark it “This site may be hacked” in its results. Cleaning it up costs time and money.

Updating isn’t free of trouble either. An update can break a page, or two plugins can stop working together. So someone has to update the site and check it, again and again, for as long as it runs.

What I build

  • A fast site. I rebuild your pages as plain files served straight to the browser. There’s no database or plugins behind them, so they load fast, there are no plugins to keep updating, and there’s far less for anyone to hack.
  • The same pages, at the same addresses. Where an address has to change, the old one redirects to the new one, so links to your site and what Google already has keep working.
  • A CMS for the words and photos, so you can still update the site yourself. See a website you can edit yourself without breaking it.
  • Your contact form, working again, emailing you each enquiry.

The design can stay as it is, or be refreshed while we’re moving it.

How we start

  1. You send me your site’s address and what you’d like to change.
  2. I list every page, form and connection on the site, and send you a quote.
  3. I build the new site alongside the old one, which stays live while we check every page.
  4. When you’re happy, the domain switches to the new site, and the old addresses redirect.

Hosting

Static sites cost little to host. I can host the site for you, or set it up on your own hosting.

FAQ

Will I lose my place on Google? Not if every old address keeps working or redirects to its new page. That’s part of the move.

Does my email change? No. Only the website moves; your email stays as it is.

Do I own the new site? Yes. The domain and the content are yours.
